Lakeside, OR and Klamath, CA.

After leaving Winnebago Industries in Junction City, OR. we headed for Lakeside, OR. on the coast for a few days.  Beautiful area and no smoke from the many forest fires.  We had plans of spending a week in Lakeside but our extended stay in Junction City only gave us a few days to check out the place. Had and nice visit.  Off to Klamath, CA. and the big redwoods.  We pulled into Klamath River RV Resort and what a beautiful park.  Roberta's sister Susan drove up from Tahachapi, CA. and surprised us by arriving before we got here.  We expected her to be here late in the day, but she left Tahachapi a day early just to surprise us.  She definitely did that.  There are less than 40 sites in the park and they have us right on the Klamath River. We couldn't have asked for a more scenic place to spend the next week.  We had just pulled in and were setting up camp when another Winnebago Tour motorhome pulls into the park. The lady driving the motorhome began waving at us as they came to a stop.  We couldn't believe it, the couple were Roy and Melisa who we met in Junction City, OR. where we both had our motorhomes worked on.  They have only been full timing it for about 2 weeks and had lots of questions.  What a small world we live in.  Our first day here in Klamath had us on the beacch and taking a beautiful 1.5 mile hike through the lush green forest.  Our plan while here is to hike through the Redwood National Forest, take a mile long gondola ride through the redwoods, more beach combing, hopefully some kayaking, and tour some lighthouses and old forts.  The coast of northern California is just as beautiful as the Oregon coast.   Lots of pictures to share.  Enjoy......

Trent had a good day at the beach.  Happy dog...
