Summer of 2016 is quickly flying by. Grandkids are already getting ready for school. We’ve been here in Colorado since April and making little trips here and
there. Having our grandkids going along has been a real treat. We’ve gone to Utah to see my son
and his family a couple times. We took
all the kids and grandkids to Lake City, Minnesota for a week vacation at the
Dwelle Cottage on the Mississippi. That
was a wonderful trip and lots of fun. Great Grandparents, my mom and dad, got
to see a couple new great grandkids.
Cousins got to play with cousins that they haven't seen in quite awhile.
And siblings got to catch up on the past four years. Bruce's brother Glenn dropped off a couple sea doos for us to enjoy. There was water skiing, swimming,
campfires, fishing, and family BBQs. We’ve
managed to survive some of Colorado’s fierce summer thunder storms. It’s almost a daily ritual to see afternoon
thunder storms come through. We traded
in our 2014 Jeep Cherokee for a 2015 GMC Sierra K1500 truck.
It tows really nice behind the motorhome and carries a lot more stuff
and one extra body. We wanted or needed more room. We put a topper on
it with kayak rack and Bruce had fishing pole mounts added to the inside roof. Bruce also built a bed box that has two full
length drawers to store all our beach and fishing stuff. No more searching the motorhome for this
stuff when it’s time to go beaching or fishing, it’s all ready to go. We’ve got trips to Utah, Mesa Verde, Aztec NM, Winnebago
Industries IA, Carlsbad Caverns, and another trip to Minnesota for Bruce's 45th class reunion yet planned for
this summer. In October we’ll be heading
south again. Will make another post
before leaving Colorado, but in the meantime, enjoy some of
