A Week in Mesa, AZ

Mesa, Arizona.   Spent a free week in Mesa at the Mesa Spirit RV Resort.  Fantastic resort with a great site, wonderful pool, and very nice folks.  We plan on going back next October.  We met our good friends from Colorado Springs, Steve and Diane Boggs.  They were staying at the Mesa Regal RV Resort just down the road.  We got together a couple evenings for dinner and good time.  We will see them in Colorado Springs next May.  We are now headed back to Colorado Springs to spend Christmas with the kids.  Life is good.

San Diego

From San Onofre Beach, Camp Pendleton, we traveled south about 60 miles to San Diego and stayed at Admiral Baker's RV park.  Roberta's sister Susan joined us for 5 days and we went to Sea World and Old San Diego and a number of beaches.  We spent Thanksgiving with Susan's family and had a wonderful time.

California Bound

We arrive in Tehachapi, CA. on Sept. 6th to spend time with Roberta's sister and family.  Had a great time.  We left on Sept. 11th and headed for San Onofre Beach located on Camp Pendleton, CA.  Outstanding military RV camp site right on the beach.  Pictures below tell the story.  We had great weather and beautiful sunsets.  After 11 days on San Onofre Beach we headed for Admiral Baker's RV Park near San Diego with Roberta's sister.  We will be here at Admiral Baker's RV Park for 5 days and then head back to Tehachapi for Thanksgiving.  Lots of pictures to share.

Desert Eagle RV Park - Nellis AFB

We've spent a couple days here at beautiful Desert Eagle RV Park on Nellis, AFB.  This park is outstanding, a true 5 star park.  Spacious sites, clean, great people, full hookups, 50amp, for just $22 a night.  We drove to Hoover Dam and Lake Meade both days.   We also drove up "The Strip" last night and it's everything you can imagine.  We will definitely be back to spend more time here.  Here are some pictures we took.  Enjoy.

Kanarravile, UT

Our last night here at Kanarraville, UT.  (near St. George).  We've spent 4 days here hoping to do some great hiking in the national parks but in the first 3 days it's been raining and snowing all day.  Today didn't get above 41 degrees and was still overcast and windy.  We head for Las Vegas tomorrow for a  few days and the weather forecast is pretty nice there.  We do plan coming back this way to go through Zion and Bryce National Parks.  They are both pretty spectacular parks.  Here are a few pictures of our stay here at Red Ledge RV Park.

Trilobite Success

Today we were successful in finding trilobites at the U-Digs Fossil Quarry in Delta, UT.  The one pictured below Roberta found.  It really made her day.  The pictures were of the dig sight.

Early Days Full Time RVing

We started our full time RVing on September 17, 2014 when we picked up our new Winnebago TOUR motorhome in Mesa, AZ.  Traveled to Minnesota to visit Bruce's family.  Then back to Colorado to see the kids one more time.  Just finished visiting our son and family in West Jordan, Utah.  We are now on our way to California to visit Roberta's family.  We'll take a week to get there and stopping along the way.  After California it's off to parts unknown.

Here are a few early pictures of our life on the road.
