Colorado in February
We decided to spend all of February at the Air Force Academy. After nearly 4 years being on this full time RVing adventure we have decided that we want to have a place to call home again. We miss having a place near our kids and grandkids where we can all get together. So we have been looking for a new home here in Colorado Springs. We're not in a big hurry, because we have plans to be in San Diego, Coronado Island, March 15 - April 15 and then meeting up with our son Eric and his family for a few days at Disneyland. We'll be looking for a home more vigorously when we return in May. We have loved our travels thus far and plan to continue to travel 5-7 months of the year, but when we do come back to Colorado we'll have a home to come back to. We have also been helping our daughter Jennifer and son-in-law Jesse with their home remodeling. They remodeled their kitchen, master bath, new wood flooring, and new carpeting in all bedrooms It's been a lot of fun helping them out. We'll be departing for San Diego on March 3rd or when the weather gives us a nice open window to travel. The weather here in Colorado Springs has been just great. We did have a night where the temps were 6 degrees, but other that that it's be great and we've stayed nice and warm in our motorhome. Hope everyone is having a wonder start of a new year.
Canyon Lake, TX
After leaving Galveston, TX we drove a few hours to Canyon Lake, TX. Canyon Lake is just north east of San Antonio. We thought we'd enjoy this area with the beautiful lake nearby and where we'd be able to do some kayaking and fishing. NOT, the weather at Canyon Lake was as bad as it was in Galveston. Very few nice days where we saw sun shine. Lots of cold and rainy days. We left Canyon Lake on January 25th, a week earlier than planned, and headed for Colorado Springs. Colorado Springs was having much nicer weather than down south and we wanted to spend some time with the kids before heading for San Diego and Coronado Island for a couple months. We did get to do a little site seeing around Canyon Lake and San Antonio while we were there and we have some pictures to share of our adventures there.

This picture was taken while we were at the Air Force Academy. My son Adam sent it to me while we were down south and I wanted to share. My grandson, Rowan, and I wanted to see the trains go by.

One of the things we like to do is pick up trash wherever we go. This is our haul while walking the beach at Canyon Lake, TX.

Our RV park at Canyon Lake has hundreds of deer roaming around. As you can see, some of them are very tame. Roberta feeding this guy some carrots.

The deer are quite small too. This doe liked her nose rubbed.

This buck was always around looking for a handout.

Explored the Natural Bridge Caverns just north of San Antonio. It was so awesome.

Decided to grow a little facial hair to see if I wanted to try out for Santa Clause's job next December. Santa has nothing to fear, it came off when we got back to Colorado.
