Pensacola Florida N.A.S.

After leaving Tyndall AFB Florida we drove over to Pensacola Naval Air Station for about 9 days.  It was a nice change and we enjoyed our short stay there.  We enjoyed some beautiful kayaking trips and biked around the base.  Bruce spent a day at the Naval Air Museum during one of our rainy days.  We got to watch the Blue Angels practice one day and they were amazing.  We left Pensacola and headed back to Colorado Springs after hearing about the passing of a very close friend of ours.  We'll be here in the Springs for much of the summer with some short trips around the area.  It's great seeing our kids and grandkids again.  Have a great summer everyone.

Thunderstorm went through Pensacola.  It was a good one.
The bike rides around Pensacola N.A.S. were really nice.
Blue Angel jet in the background.
Blue Angel's practice every Monday and Wednesday.  Great shows.

So cool.
Kayaked across the bay and watched the Blue Angels practice.
Beached the kayaks and took a walk around the island.
Love the show.

Panama City Beach, FL. - March 2017

We spent most of April in Panama City Beach, FL.  We stayed at the Tyndall AFB FamCamp.  It's a very nice park and we met some real nice people.  The only issue we had at this park was there was no Wifi so I wasn't able to load any pictures up to our blog.  We are now in Pensacola and have Wifi and I'm able to update our blog.  Tyndall AFB is home of the F22 Stealth Raptor jets and they were our alarm clock every morning at 6:30am.  They were an awesome sight each day.  The beaches around Panama City and Mexico Beach were beautiful.  Tyndall AFB has it's own beach and it was the place to go.  To get to the beach you had to cross a 1/2 mile boardwalk so we always got in our exercise.  We spent a lot of time at the beaches.  We also did some kayaking.  Here are a few pictures from our stay in Panama City.

Sometimes we'd get into little channels that weren't very deep.
The water along the Florida coast was breathtaking.  Clear and beautiful.
