6/10/15 - 6/18/15
We are in Alaska. I haven't been able to keep our blog up to date since the WIFI has really stunk all along the way. When a campground or RV park says they have free WIFI, that's only if it works. Too many people trying to get on and not enough band width to accommodate all. Here in Fairbanks I was able to get on early in the morning, so hopefully I can get a quick update in.
Our travels have been wonderful. The roads north of Whitehorse, YT. to the Alaska border sucked, but we made it slow and steady. There are plenty of RV Parks along the way, so we haven't had issues finding a place to stay. A few minor issues with vehicles, two flat tires (not on ours), and minor breakages from rough roads. Fortunately all were taken care of quickly. We are traveling with wonderful friends and we're having a great time. Now the fun really begins. We go see the summer solstice on Sunday where the sun sets touching the earth and then goes back up. Should be pretty cool. We'll be in Fairbanks 5 nights, then its off to Denali for a few nights, and then to Anchorage for 5 nights. Then to the Kenai penninsala for a week and then we make our trip back home. Lots of stops along the way. Here are pictures during our travels thus far. More of Alaska as soon as I can download all the cameras. Enjoy.
