Gulf Waters RV Resort - Corpus Christi

We are finally in Corpus Christi staying at Gulf Waters RV Resort.  It's a beautiful park right on the Gulf of Mexico.  We are just 200 yards from the beach.  They even allow the dogs on the beach which we haven't been able to do at past beaches.  Looking forward to staying in one place for a while.  Enjoy the pictures.

Home for the next month.

San Antonio, TX

Beautiful day here in San Antonio, TX.  We were able to get out and see some of the sites.  We saw a couple local missions, the Alamo, and walked the river walk through downtown San Antonio.  It was a great day.  At the San Jose mission we met a gentleman I knew when I was in the Air Force 22 years ago.  I had a Colorado sweatshirt on and he asked me if we were from Colorado.  One thing led to another and when I told him my name he said, "You were my sponsor when I got to Peterson AFB".  That was 22 years ago.   He was a young single lieutenant then and now he's married with 6 kids and just retired from the Air Force.  He and his family are RVing around the U.S. for the next year.  What a small world.

On the Road to Texas

We were able to get out of the arctic weather of Colorado Springs and are now in San Antonio, TX.  The weather here has been rainy and temps only in the 40s during day, but it beats the teens we left in Colorado.  We got an email from our daughter in Falcon and they got nearly 6" of snow.  It's supposed to get into the 60s day after tomorrow and we're planning on finally getting out sightseeing. We'll be heading for Corpus Christi on Saturday.

Heading South from Colorado Springs-Beautiful day.

Christmas in Colorado

We've spent the past three weeks with family over the Christmas holiday and have had a wonderful time, but we are so ready to head back to where it's a little warmer.  The motorhome has kept us warm even at -12 degrees, but we prefer being on a beach somewhere wearing shorts and t-shirt.  Our plan from here is to head for Corpus Christi, TX.  On the way down we'll stop in San Antonio and spend a week seeing the Alamo and walk the riverwalk.  We'll spend a month in Corpus Christi at a nice resort and then head up to Galveston and spend a month on the beach there.  Here are a few pictures we'd like to share of our time here in beautiful Colorado.
