November 2, 2016 Corpus Christi

It’s been a while since I’ve had a chance to update the blog, but Summer of 2016 has come to a close and we are planning our trip South.  We will miss the kids and grandkids now that summer is over.  Before heading south we made a couple trips to Minnesota.   Our first trip to Minnesota was with our four children and all the grandkids for a wonderful family reunion on Bruce’s side of the family.  We had a great time seeing Great Grandma and Grandpa Dwelle, Aunts and Uncles, and all the cousins.  The hi-light of the trip was spending a week at Great Grandma/pa’s cabin on the Mississippi River.  A wonderful week of jet skiing, swimming, skiing, fishing, and a family reunion.
Our second trip to Minnesota was for Bruce’s 45th class reunion.  It was the best reunion he’s attended to date.  On our way to Minnesota we stopped off at Winnebago Industries to get a few things fixed on the motorhome.  Winnebago’s service techs were great and we got everything we needed done.
After leaving Colorado we drove to St. George, UT. to spend a week with Roberta’s sister, Susan, at Sand Hollow State Park.  Roberta and Susan hiked a number of trails in Zion National Park while Bruce hung out at camp with his bad hip.  We’re hoping Bruce can get a hip replacement while in Corpus Christi.
After leaving St. George, UT we drove down to Tombstone, AZ to meet up with Brad and Janine again.  Janine’s kidneys decided to stop working and she’s been on dialysis since.  We wanted to visit them before going further south.  We continue to pray for her quick recovery.  We did go into Tombstone and ran into Wyatt Earp and the boys.  We will be going back for a longer visit.
We arrived at NAS Corpus Christi on 10-26-16.  Bruce will schedule a Doctor appointment as soon as possible for visit with an Orthopedic Surgeon.  The sooner we can get his hip fixed the happier we’ll be.  It’s nice being down south again.

Enjoy all the pictures.
