Fairbanks, AK.

6-20-2015:  We are enjoying our stay in Fairbanks, AK.  The weather has been beautiful.  The people are very nice wherever we go.  The scenery is outstanding.  We made a trip to the visitor's center the other day and spent several hours going through it.  They had a lot of exibits and films to watch from dog sledding to the building of the oil pipeline.  We walked along the river walk and met some very nice people.  Last night we went to the top of the world, it seemed, and watch the summer solstice happen.  The sun never set.  It came down, touched the horizon, and then went back up.  It was around 1:00am when that happended and we got home at 4:30am.  We enjoyed 24hrs of daylight.  It was awesome to see.  On the way home we had a bull moose parade down the middle of the road for us and we got a few pictures of him.  It was a fun day with wonderful people.

Saw this chicken coop and thought of our son-in-law Jesse.
Elk and moose horn arch.
Land of the mid-night sun.   For sure.
The sun never set today.
Touches the horizon and then goes back up.
Waiting for the summer solstice to happen.  1:00am it did.
Roberta (right) and her sister Susan enjoying the solstice.
About 10:00pm and still light out.
Having a great time on top of the world.
Love my sweetheart.
Sun is crossing the horizon, but never sets.
A friendly moose decided to prance down the road
for about a mile in front of us.
He liked the road.
More sun pictures.

24hrs of daylight today.  So cool.
Sun begins to rise again.
We watched the sun from 9:30pm to 1:30am until it began to rise.
Got home at 4:30 and crashed, in our beds.  Great day.
